中山醫學大學醫學研究所

本所含碩、博士班，為中部地區歷史最悠久之醫學研究所。同時是整合基礎與臨床醫學於一所，含碩、博士班之醫學研究所。

    本所招生分臨床和基礎兩組。基礎組涵蓋基礎醫學、醫學生化生技、微生物免疫。臨床組主要在培養醫師具備發掘臨床問題，並能以分子生物學的知識與技術，訓練轉譯醫學的研究能力來解決臨床之問題。本所發展重點為癌症、老化、幹細胞以及天然藥物之研究，以提升疾病預防、早期診斷、預後評估、新藥開發以及臨床治療之效能。基礎組與臨床組互相配合，提供解決臨床問題之醫學知識與研究方法，探討疾病之分子致病機轉及藥物作用機制，例如病毒感染與癌症、癌細胞轉移之分子機轉、癌細胞早期診斷及預後評估之分子標誌，慢性疾病如糖尿病、心血管疾病之致病機轉以及天然藥物之開發等，期望能建立基礎與臨床醫學研究相互支援之平台，達成以解決臨床問題為導向之轉譯醫學研究。

    依據本所研究特色規劃本所之教學課程。博士班必修課程主要為—轉譯醫學，上學期課程以老化和生殖幹細胞為主要課程內容，下學期之課程內容則將著重於癌症和天然藥物。因此本課程整合臨床及基礎教師之研究專長，針對疾病在臨床的診斷治療、基礎相關的分子致病機轉以及目前最新的研究結果做系統性之介紹，以期能達成本所之發展特色。

本所課程規劃與研究方向包括：

一、碩士班：

1. 核心課程：提供分子生物醫學，生命醫學，研究設計與資料分析，論文寫作等核心課程來訓練碩士班學生基本的科學能力與素養。專題討論與綜合討論則提供多元化的醫學研究主題探討。

2. 專業課程：臨床組專業課程主要為臨床專業醫學相關之研究以及轉譯醫學之課程。基礎組專業課程主要為分子腫瘤學與配合發展轉譯醫學之課程，例如臨床腫瘤學等。

二、博士班：

1. 核心課程：提供高等分子生物醫學，生物醫學，生物技術，高等研究計劃撰寫，高等論文寫作等核心課程來訓練博士班學生進階的科學研究能力與素養。專題討論與綜合討論課程則提供優質且多元化的醫學研究主題探討。

2. 專業課程：臨床組專業課程主要研究及學習方向為臨床與基礎醫學之整合研究，如轉譯醫學研究、老化相關研究、臨床試驗、幹細胞研究等。基礎組專業課程主要研究及學習方向為腫瘤學、基因毒理學、神經醫學以及相關基礎醫學。

四個研究發展重點：老化、癌症、幹細胞、藥物研究，未來將在四個研究發展重點內採納精準醫學的指引來加強研發能力，順應精準醫學潮流的發展。  

Introduction 

In order to promote biomedical research and to train future qualified faculty and researchers, the Institute of Medicine, the first graduate school in Chung Shan Medical University, has initiated offering a Master of Science program and a PhD program since 1979 and 1998, respectively.  Up to the present time, the institute is the only one or two organizations to offer the PhD program in the field of medicine in middle Taiwan. The institute comprises clinical medicine and basic medicine two tracks.

The master program recruits candidates with a related bachelor degree. The average study period is 2 years. Entrance to the master program is based on a written examination and review of application materials.

The PhD program recruits candidates with a related master degree or at least 2-year working experiences in the related field plus a published paper(s) equivalent to a master thesis. The study period of the PhD program is 3-7 years. Entrance to the PhD program is based on a written examination, interview and review of application materials. 

Faculty

At the present time, the institute owns 19 full-time, 10 part-time and 46 joint faculty members. More than 88.46% of our faculty members have a PhD degree.

Space and Facilities

There are eight individual laboratory rooms, one meeting room and one large laboratory center with adequate facilities for biochemical, molecular medicine, toxicological, and cancerous studies in the main campus. In addition, the Institute of Medicine is in charge of the Clinical Research Center (CRC) located at the Chung Shan Medical University Hospital.
